POINTS SYSTEM

Note:

1. PARTICIPATION POINTS:Teams participating in all events will get 100 bonus points.
2. JOKER CARD:There will be 2 joker cards i.e. one for class event and one for department event. Each class can put a joker on any class event. If that class wins that event then they will get double the points or else they will have to forfeit 100 points. Similarly each department can put a joker on any department event. If that department wins that event then they will get double the points or else they will have to forfeit 100 points. The joker works only if the team has secured either 1st ,2nd or 3rd place in that particular event. This is applicable for all class and department events as well. Eg. In case of department events if a department had put a joker on a gold event and if that department has won 1st place in that event then all the 4 classes of that department (FE,SE,TE,BE) will receive 400 points each. The joker should be submitted in the online form by 29th Feb 2024 by 2pm and is compulsory.
3. FACULTY POINTS: If any faculty participates in any department event then that department will automatically get 25 bonus points for that respective event. (Maximum 2 faculty can participate in any department event ) These points can be applied for all the specified department events. Eg. If a faculty participates for in ghumat aarti and another participates for street play in the same department then that department will receive 50 points (25 for ghumat aarti & 25 for street play). Even if a single faculty participates then that department is eligible for 25 points.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Participants must report at least 15mins before the start of their respective event. Failure to do so might disqualify that team from that event.
2. Decision of judges is final. Any participant arguing with the judges will lead to his/her disqualification.
3. Vulgarity of any kind should not be portrayed in any manner, direct or indirect and engaging in vulgar activities will lead to disqualification of the entire team.
4. Vulgar words are prohibited in the college campus.
5. Suicidal topics are strictly banned from portraying in any of the events whether on stage or off stage.
6. Participants have to strictly adhere to the timings mentioned in each of the events.
7. Submission dates and timings for the photos and videos should be strictly taken into consideration. No photos or videos will be entertained after the appointed time has passed.
8. Participants have to get their own equipment for all the events mentioned.
9. There will be 4 departments competing against each other: Civil department, Mechanical department, ETC/ECS department, Computer department.
10. First years are clubbed into their respective department(Civil,Mech,ETC/ECS,Comp).
11. Faculties of Humanities Department can join any other department in the department events based on his/her consent.
12. Faculty members cannot participate in class events
13. Allocation of joker cards is compulsory for both department & class events.
14. Registration process is strictly online on the official PROCYON website ( www.procyon.dbcegoa.ac.in).
15. Details of all events including the registration form and links to the videos will be hosted on the website.
16. Each department should allocate a department coordinator (any of the 4 CR’s) to submit the registration form for the department events.
17. Each CR will be given a unique ID and password which will enable him/her to access the registration form and to prevent misuse of the form.
18. Forms should be submitted before 29th FEB 2pm. After that the online portal will not accept any forms and the teams will therefore not be able to participate in any event which they haven’t registered for.
19. The submission of the audio and video files should be done to the respective event coordinators only.
20. Judgement criteria given for the events mentioned in the brochure are tentative and are subject to change based on the decision of the judges.
21. For fashion show event, each of the departments should compulsorily allocate one faculty member to ensure that the costumes are upto the mark.
22. Negative marking will take place if the team exceeds its appointed time.
23. All event timings include stage setup time and performance time. No extra time will be allocated for stage setup.
24. Venues V1 & V2 will be inside the pandal area.
